I could do without the rims but no other Mustang beats a 65 in the looks department

is that a Vert with a hardtop on it?
there is a line at the bottom of the top that shouldn't be there. For reference

I noticed that too I think it is a trick of the light

I have to disagree. Notchbacks look better.

Something isn't right, the decklid looks too deep and flat. Maybe that's just optics, but it definitely has a coupe/cvt side window that doesn't fit the fastback frame. Drr
Update: It is a convertible with a fiberglass fastback-lookalike roof! http://www.carpictures.com/photos/max/11D…

I saw the same thing, the side window gave it away for me. Found this:

A little digging led to this, someone in the UK making a fiberglass roof:

I think the lines are too steep and end too suddenly

I had no idea they made these how cool!

Sorry Rose but in the world of fastbacks, mach1s and 429s, that little 65 is nice but it falls short.

While I agree with you the 65 fastback lead to the GT350 Carroll Shelby's Mustang baby

does that mean you're as excited as I am for the new gt350 with a 8000+ rpm 5 liter?
hopefully it sounds like the old racer <3333

Yes! Yes! Yes! In a perfect world I want it to be NA putting out over 500hp and weighing in less than 3500lbs. If it sounds like the video then the new GT350 would beat out the Boss 302 Mustang as my favorite modern muscle car

it is going to be N/A, 600hp! , and probably weigh at 3500lbs. Given it's going to be flat plane crank, it probably won't be far off from that old gt350 with a race motor. I'm telling you, this car is going to be maniacal

Good god I hope so it would be the car of my dreams. Maybe side pipes? That would be wonderful

the 600 hp n/a v8 has been insider source confirmed just recently in case that settles your doubt. Apparently it's amazing to have an engine of that size with a flat plane crank and they had it spin at 7500 rpm (boss' redline) for an extended period of time during durability testing.

Suddenly I have a new car at the top of my "I hope they make this" list.

I still miss my 71. It was, without question, the car I enjoyed the most out of the many, many vehicles I've owned.

Yes, this is it. It's like the 60's Mustangs only after hitting puberty and finally filling out.
